Account Director

The Account Director acts as the primary liaison between IMC and senior-level client contacts while leading IMC’s program management team. This role is responsible for driving brand strategy, managing licensing programs, and ensuring effective communication between clients, licensees, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the IMC team to develop and implement licensing strategies

Build deep knowledge of client brands to uphold brand essence, visual identity, and quality across licensing efforts

Serve as the main point of contact for clients on program updates, brand strategy, new opportunities, licensee matters, and financial reporting

Act as a liaison between licensors, licensees, and retailers to align goals and resolve needs

Lead the IMC program management team, overseeing product development and approval processes

Participate in status calls with licensees to track progress and resolve issues

Manage royalty reporting, including licensee communication, sales analysis, and payment collection

Facilitate licensee renewals and contract extensions

Oversee sales support for new client opportunities

Lead special projects such as style guides, brand standards, summits, and creative portfolios

Stay informed on industry trends and emerging licensing opportunities

Represent IMC at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings

Conduct industry research and identify potential brand extension categories

Create PowerPoint presentations, mock-ups, and sales decks for internal and client use

Qualifications For A Director of Client Services

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (Master’s a plus)

5-10 years of experience in brand licensing, marketing, or account management, preferably in an agency or consumer product environment

Proven relationship management skills with the ability to align the needs of clients, licensees, and internal teams

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities

Skilled at managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting

Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality client work

Creative thinker with experience in product ideation and marketing visuals

Highly motivated with a strong drive for success

Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with project management and CRM tools is a plus

Strong analytical skills and sound business judgment

Candidate should be based in Louisville, KY. Office is located at 200 York Street, Louisville, KY 40203.   IMC operates on a hybrid schedule of half week in-office and half week work-from-home.
