Account Manager

An Account Manager reports to the Director of Client Services. S/he owns the management of their assigned licensee programs and communicates directly with Clients, usually at the Associate/Brand Manager level. The Account Manager also supports IMC’s marketing efforts, however this function should use less than 10% of their time. An Account Manager’s responsibilities include:

– Develop an understanding of the needs of the licensee, client/brand owner, and retailer, and serve as a liaison between licensor and licensee

– Coordinates the product development and approval process

– Develop deep brand knowledge to carry a brand’s essence, visual identity, and quality standards through all aspects of product development

– Thoroughly proof each submission (i.e. product, packaging, sales sheets, POS, etc.), making sure that it is free from error before submitting for client review

– Maintain licensee files and track work in IMC’s database

– Serve as day-to-day contact for licensees

– Manage status calls between licensees and IMC

– Assist in quarterly royalty reporting procedures, including communication with licensees regarding projections, sales submissions and payment collection

– Project management for special creative projects, such as style guides, brand standards, licensee summits, portfolio compilations, etc.

– Collaborate with other IMC Licensing professionals, including updates on product development and submission issues, visual asset review, and making recommendations for improvement of materials and procedures

– Manage the day-to-day needs of executed licensing programs and consult with/engage other IMC Licensing professionals as needed to ensure programs are maximized

– Maintain knowledge of current industry, category and licensing trends, specifically as it relates to product development and quality assurance issues- Assist in quarterly royalty reporting procedures, including communication with licensees regarding projections, sales submissions and payment collection

– Research within the licensing industry and potential brand extension categories for our clients

– Design/create PowerPoint presentations

– Assist with the execution of IMC’s marketing-related projects and tactics

– Serve as day-to-day contact for design/website agency and freelancers

– Assist with administrative tasks

Bachelor’s Degree or Higher

2-3 years of experience in account management

Location/Schedule

Candidate should be based in Louisville, KY. Office is located at 200 York Street, Louisville, KY 40203.  This is a full-time position. IMC operates on a hybrid schedule of time in office and remote.
